KELEBIHAN PS3, WII, XBOX, SERTA PC

Console vs PC


Hmm.. habis posting di forum jadi menyinggung2 masalah console vs PC lagi. Emang console ama PC tidak bisa dibandingkan, karena keduanya mempunyai kelebihan dan kekurangan sendiri sendiri. Tapi melihat hal itu aku jadi mendapat sebuah masukan kalau usaha xbox360 atau ps3 bakal jadi sia sia. Kenapa? Karena mereka ingin menggantikan posisi PC yang jelas tidak mungkin mereka wujudkan dalam bentuk console. Aku akan bahas mulai dari kelebihan dan kekurangan masing2 dulu.

Kelebihan PC:
1. Grafik bagus
2. Dapat diupgrade
3. Multifungsi

Kekurangan PC:
1. Mahal
2. Harus intall
3. Gamer yang menyesuaikan hardware2 yang diminta oleh developer untuk bisa memainkan game dengan mulus.


Kelebihan Console:
1. Mudah dibawa2
2. Tidak perlu instal
3. Controlnya dapat digenggam.
4. Developer yang menyesuaikan dengan hardware console jadi tidak perlu kuatir masalah lag atau tidak support.


Kekurangan Console:
1. Grafik tidak sebagus PC
2. Tidak dapat diupgrage.
3. Tidak multifungsi


Ok yang aku dapat hanya secuil itu dipikiranku, tapi menurutku sudah cukup untuk menjelaskan kenapa kok xbox360 atau ps3 aku katakan bahwa mereka ingin menggantikan posisi PC. Liat PS3 atau xbox 360:
1. Ingin menggantikan PC dengan memberikan sentuhan multifungsi, PS3 lebih extrim dengan dapat diinstalin linux.
2. Hardwarenya ingin mengalahkan kecanggihan PC dengan prosesor cell dan GPU yang kabarnya sampe 1,8 TFLOPS (PS3).
3. HDD integrated yang jelas tidak perlu kalau hanya untuk console saja.
4. Memakai media blueray yang jelas jelas tidak perlu. Bahkan sampai sekarang pun tidak ada game yang memanfaatkan blueray secara penuh. resolusi 1080p aja tidak ada (PS3).


Lalu aku katakan kalau usaha mereka bakal sia sia. Karena:

1. Grafik PS3 dan xbox 360 memang bagus, multifungsi juga banyak berguna, tapi mereka lupa kalau salah satu kekurangan console adalah tidak dapat diupgrade, sedangkan PC mempunyai kelebihan dapat diupgrade, sehingga cepat atau lambat pasti mereka kalah ama PC. Multifungsi pun cepat atau lambat juga menjadi kurang berguna. Katakanlah bagaimana kalau aku perlu untuk video editing? GPU PS3 bisa mengangkat sampai mana? Compatibility juga ndak bakal sebaik PC.

2. HDD integrated memang perlu untuk PC, tapi untuk console media penyimpanan segitu gedenya buat apa? Akhirnya malah menambah ongkos sehingga console mempunyai satu kekurangan PC yang sebelumnya tidak ada, MAHAL. PS3 lebih extrim dengan memakai media blueray. Coba liat wii yang murah. Wii aja kabarnya hanya diproduksi dengan harga $100 saja, dijual dengan harga $250. Hanya saja saking larisnya sampe harganya melambung tinggi di tanah air dengan harga 4,5juta untuk versi USA. Harganya sudah dilambungkan segitu tingginya tetep aja wii paling laris, lah wii bisa dijual dengan harga lebih mahal $150, eh PS3 harganya malah dipotong $100 tetep ga laku.

3. Satu lagi kenapa kok aku katakan usaha mereka sia sia. Masih ingat dengan console yang namanya discovery? Discovery adalah PC yang dibuat menjadi tipis ditujukan hanya untuk gamer. Gamer cukup memasukan CD dan instalasi pun berjalan sendiri. Discovery ingin mengurangi kekurangan PC yang harus instal dan menggantikan posisi console, namun gagal, karena harganya yang mahal.
